If you love wings, you’ve got your hot spots. Whether you’re a traditionalist who always orders classic hot buffalo style, or whether your mouth is watering to try a whole new world of flavor, we’ve got it all right here in Central PA. Join us on a tour of wings around the region (numbered in no particular ranking). We suggest pairing with a wingman who likes the opposite wing pieces for optimal companionship.

1. American Bar & Grill

1081 N. Plum St., Lancaster, PA

ABG, known as “A-Bag” to locals, has Lancaster’s best wings according to our readers and staff. We love the Mideast hot curry, tropical pineapple habanero, hot BBQ Cajun—and an order of fresh cut fries on the side.

No need to wait for wing night; they’re 40 cents every day after 4 p.m.

2. Lancaster Dispensing Company / 33 N. Market St., Lancaster, PA

DipCo, as those in the know call it, only does wings on Wednesdays, and tables fill up fast at this Central Market District hot spot. Get the house flavor, a mix of hot and BBQ, with a side of chunky, creamy blue cheese and crunchy celery.

3. Rumplebrewskins

834 N. Plum St., Lancaster, PA

Try the Dinks flavor with Caribbean spices at this hole in the wall haunt.

4. Mosby’s

215 E. Main St., Mount Joy, PA

Mosby’s is Mount Joy’s spot for wings—garlic Parm and Old Bay are a couple of faves.

$5.95 for a dozen wings on Mondays (eat in only) and Thursdays (eat in or carryout)

5. JoBoy’s Brew Pub / 27 E. Main St., Lititz, PA

Known for its southern barbecue, JoBoy’s also smokes wings and serves them up with dry rub or sauces like Hotter Than Hell, sweet and spicy or raspberry Sriracha. Pair with a signature Manheim red ale or Lititz Springs lager from this nano brewery in the heart of historic downtown Lititz.

6. Mick’s / 1411 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA / 543 Airport Road, Lititz / 2201 Strickler Road, Manheim, PA

The cult fave at Mick’s is Amber wings with medium-hot, BBQ and garlic Parm all mixed together. Also worth a taste are cayenne spiced house wings.

Get a dozen wings for $6.99 on Wednesdays or $3 off appetizers during happy hour every day

7. Bull’s Head Public House / 14 E. Main St., Lititz, PA

This traditional British pub might not be the first place you think of when you think of wings, but the honey chipotle jumbo wings are solidly delish, as is the brown butter roasted garlic Parmesan flavor.

8. Joe’s Famous Wings ‘n Wieners / 56 W. Main St., Leola, PA

This place is so big on takeout you can order up to 200 wings. Zombie sauce is so hot you have to sign a waiver. Or try unique flavors without the burn like Cool Taco Ranch, Thai peanut, General Tso and Boom Boom. With 30 flavors, there’s one for everyone. Check the Facebook page for deals on large orders.

9. The Cat’s Meow / 215 S. Charlotte St., Manheim, PA

When in Manheim, go for the garlic Parm at The Cat’s Meow.

10. Fat Pigs / 415 N. Prince St. #100, Lancaster, PA

Also known as “Fetty Wootz,” Fat Pigs brought Lancaster-bred barbecue to The Brickyard. Smoked wings come in four dry rub flavors or tossed in classic hot sauce, Louisiana Smack or eight other sauces.
