Let the parties and time with friends and family begin! In time for the holiday season, here is inspiration to get you started.
There are tons of excuses to get dressed up this holiday season. I know for myself, the calendar is quickly getting booked and I’ve started shopping for the perfect outfits. I always feel the holiday season officially kicks off on Black Friday. For the past few years we walk to the Mayor’s Tree Lighting in downtown Lancaster…it’s a great night to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with friends.
From there it seems like the holiday parties officially kick off between work, friends and volunteer organizations. This year gold is making a big statement. Whether you simply want to add a new piece of jewelry, a bag or you want to be more daring and wear a sequin dress. Gold adds a feeling of luxury without feeling “over-done” and gives you a sense of polish. If gold is not your thing, try adding silver!
Black and red are always staples in my holiday outfits. This little red dress can easily go from a work party to a night out for cocktails. And, black lace never goes out of style. This sleeveless dress has a beautiful key-hole back and zipper detail. This is a dress you could wear over and over…pair it with heels for a more dressy look or toss on a leather jacket and boots for more casual style. Either way it works!
If you want something to really stand out, try taking inspiration from the men and go with a pantsuit. I’ve been seeing some in velvet this season which would make it perfect for a party. I’m really loving the skinny scarfs available right now and one of these would look fantastic against a velvet jacket. Or, try out this feather dress…guaranteed to make a statement!
If you already have the basics of your outfit, freshen it up with one of these fur infinity scarfs. Any time you add fur it elevates the outfit. I love the multi-color blend of these faux fur versions…they look expensive but are not (even better!) I found these thin bracelets as well. The right amount of sparkle and you can stack them together for added shine. They make wonderful stocking stuffers too!
I hope to see you around town over the holidays! Enjoy…
