If you’re anything like me and you can’t stand the sight of the inside of your home anymore, it might be time to Go Green. Go Green in the City, that is.
A (free!) unique street fair combining family fun and green-conscious local living and artistry, Go Green in the City will take place in downtown York on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Holden hasn’t seen (or eaten) anything green in the last six months, so I’m pretty psyched to take her to this downtown festival. Local food vendors, artists, live music and crafters will take over North Beaver Street and North Pershing Avenue, as well as the White Rose Bar & Grill parking lot. There’s a photo booth, food demonstrations, Spoutwood Fairie Festival fairies and even live bees.
This year, the event has also added the PBS’ Kids Go Green Kids Zone with a petting zoo (alpacas! goats! mini donkeys!), a corn “sandbox,” face painting, arts and crafts and kids’ activities, including kids’ yoga, and Zumba.
Who doesn’t want to see Holden terrorizing alpacas and doing animal yoga poses? I’ll be sure to share lots of photos!
See you at Go Green.
